At M/S Green Sea & Co, we take immense pride in our commitment to environmental responsibility and our unwavering adherence to local rules and regulations governing the removal of sludge oil, bilges, slop oil, tank washing, and garbage. Our dedication to ensuring a cleaner and safer maritime environment is deeply ingrained in our operations.
MARPOL 73/78 Rules – Annex V Compliance:
Our services are fully aligned with the guidelines set forth in the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) MARPOL 73/78 rules, specifically Annex V. This compliance underscores our commitment to preventing marine pollution by effectively managing and disposing of garbage in accordance with international standards.
Permission and Authorization:
We understand the importance of obtaining the necessary permissions and authorizations for our services. When appointed by shipping agents, we diligently seek approvals from the relevant Port Authorities. We ensure that all regulatory procedures are followed meticulously before we initiate any operation.
Waste Discharge Receipts (WDR):
Following the successful completion of our services, Waste Discharge Receipts (WDRs) are issued. These WDRs are co-signed by our service provider team and the vessel’s representatives, thereby validating the proper and lawful removal of sludge oil, bilges, slop oil, and garbage.
SEPA Certification:
Our commitment to environmental protection is further solidified by our possession of a certification from the Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA). This certification serves as a testament to our compliance with local environmental regulations and our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of environmental safety.
Port Authority Registration:
We are duly registered with both the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and the Port Qasim Authority (PQA). These registrations reflect our acknowledgment of and compliance with the regulations and standards set forth by these authorities.
EHS Rule Adherence:
In line with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) rules, we ensure that the removed sludge oil, bilges, slop oil, and garbage are disposed of properly. Our operations conclude with the disposal of waste materials at the appropriate facility, as per the stipulations of the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB).
At M/S Green Sea & Co, our mission is to provide top-tier maritime services while upholding the highest environmental and regulatory standards. We are proud to offer our services free of cost at Karachi Port and Port Qasim Authority (KPT & PQA), demonstrating our dedication to environmental preservation and regulatory compliance.
